There is a universal truth we all have to face, whether we want to or not: everything eventually ends. As much as I’ve looked forward to this day, I’ve always disliked endings: the last day of summer, the final chapter of a great book, parting ways with a close friend. But endings are inevitable. Leaves fall, you close the book, you say goodbye. Today is one of those days for us. Today we say goodbye to everything that was comfortable, familiar. We’re moving on. But just because we’re leaving, and that hurts, there are some people who are so much a part of us they’ll be with us no matter what. They are our solid ground, our North Star, and the small clear voices in our hearts that will be with us. Always.
I thought of maybe stealing this speech from Castle for my own graduation speech.

What we’re hoping is that getting over this hump of will-they-won’t-they will help us get back to some of the fun stuff we were able to do in the first couple of seasons — her grabbing his nose or grabbing his ear — and the back and forth. Them getting together will allow for that. But the sexual tension of the relationship, I don’t know if that goes away when they’re together as long as you handle it well.

Via The heart wants what the heart wantsBecause of everything we’ve been through together! Four years I’ve been right here! Four years just waiting for you to just open your eyes to see that I’m right here! And I’m more than a partner! Every morning I, I bring you a cup of coffee just so I can see a smile on your face because I think you are the most remarkable, maddening, challenging, frustrating person I’ve ever met. And I love you Kate and if that means anything to you, if you care about me at all, just don’t do this.
